BAA contracted Airfloat to construct a barrier to control the polluted run-off water from the runways at Heathrow.
Firstly Airfloat replaced the rotted concrete floats with Airfloat modules. The rubber barrier was then attached to fenders supported by the modules, which required lifting the existing barrier by means of a hoist supported by an Airfloat work platform.
